Chickamauga Dam pulling water now

It will be interesting to watch the number of fish being caught this afternoon, as Chickamauga Dam is now pulling enough water to turn on the ledge fish. At 11 a.m. the discharge level was up to 28,107 cubic feet per second. Again, to document the current flow, it was 6,826 until 9 a.m., when it increased to 13,888 cfs, and rose again to 20,880 at 10 a.m.
Everything from 25,000 up creates the current needed to turn on those fish along the main river channel, according to local anglers. But it will take awhile for that flow to take effect, especially the further you get from the dam.
