Community hole

B.A.S.S. photographer James Overstreet and I are camped out on a massive community hole.

 

It's a classic prespawn staging area -- a hydrilla-covered, main-lake flat leading to a spawning area.

 

Everyone is catching fish. And by fish, I mean bass and pike. The lure of choice is a lipless crankbait.

 

You'll see the photo gallery later today. Imagine 25 boats making downwind passes over a big flat and you kind of get the mental picture.
