Day 3 weather same as yesterday, at least for now

Just like on Friday, there's a pretty strong wind blowing straight down the St. Lawrence River as Day 3 begins. It's 64 degrees and the skies are mostly clear. The wind is forecast to remain steady around 10 to 15 miles per hour all day, a chance of thunderstorms comes into play starting at noon.

Maybe it was the wind, but for whatever reason Day 2 proved to be tougher than Day 1 on the St. Lawrence River. There were only two 20-pound bags weighed, led by leader Edwin Evers' 22-9, compared to 10 on Day 1. The number of 5-bass limits went down from 95 to 85, and the average weight of the bass weighed-in dropped a bit as well, from 3.2 lbs. to 3.0.

Mark Menendez's 6-3 big bass yesterday did top the 6-0 big bass caught by Zell Rowland on Day 1.
