Chris Zaldain has been camped on a big bass for an hour. Perched right above it. He's estimating it's an 8 pounder. On the first cast the big bass bit on a swim bait. "But I didn't swing on it," Zaldain said. Just now Zaldain broke off a bait on this fish. This bass will either jumpstart Zaldain's day, or if he doesn't catch it, will put him further in the hole. We've got four spectators boats here now watching the California Kid about as closely as Zaldain is watching the big bass.
