The Elite Series anglers usually have an 8 hours between takeoff and check-in times. This week in Sacramento it's 9 hours. With a 90-minute run from the Discovery Park takeoff site to The Delta, where the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers create a vast bass fishery, that extra hour is highly valuable.
Skeet Reese noted that he had about 6 hours and 15 minutes of fishing time Thursday. He made the run to The Delta a bit quicker than he expected, in 1:15, and figured it was about 1:30 on the way back.
With so much productive water to explore, 6 hours of fishing time makes for a very short day.
