My boat driver and I are headed back to the St. Clair River and Huron. That's where the top four anglers are fishing this week, along with Jonathon VanDam (7th place) and a few others.
Huron has been the big key in this event so far, kind of like Lake Erie was a few years ago. In that event Lake Erie set the tone for most of the leaders while Chris Lane won the event in virtually the same place these guys are fishing on Huron.
It almost sounds like a complete flip. But there are differences.
The biggest of those is St. Clair is actually a big factor this year. And while a couple of the top 10 or 15 are fishing in Erie the rest are fishing in St. Clair.
Plus the Huron and Erie guys have to contend with extra tournament pressure. There are tournaments taking off this morning in both places, practically on top of where they are fishing.
So the big question of the day will be is which lake will survive the pressure?
