Clouds could define success for some today

Part of the reason it's chilly today is the thick clouds that are blanketing St. Clair at the moment.

And while the standings are showing a lot of limits by mid morning, the fishing is not as good as it could be at least for smallmouth.

While the rest of the country loves a low-pressure windy day. These smallmouth in this part of the world crave sun and wind.

When it's like that it's game on.

Skeet Reese was telling me yesterday that "you can't get them to chase anything when it's cloudy."

He felt then the clouds would define a lot of folks success. Only the weigh in will let us know how accurate he is. And there's still time for the sun to break through.
