Classic and candid moments on “Bassmaster LIVE”

If you’re watching Bassmaster LIVE, you’ve already seen some classic clear-water, light-line smallmouth bass catches this morning. It takes awhile to land one of these hard-fighting smallies on the 8-pound test fluorocarbon line required in water so clear you can see 30 feet deep. One of Aaron Martens’ catches this morning was timed at eight minutes from hook-set to in-the-boat. It feels more like 30 minutes when you’re fighting one of those fish.

And, as usual on “Bassmaster LIVE,” you’ve seen some candid moments as well. Brandon Palaniuk probably didn’t realize he was “LIVE” when he made the following observation to his cameraman: “You know one of the worst things about fishing out here? There’s no place to pee.”

“LIVE” co-host Mark Zona, always quick with the quip, could be heard chuckling to himself before he said, “It’s the same here in the (TV) studio.”
