Lintner on the board at 6:25 a.m.

Jared Lintner caught the first fish today, a 2-pounder, 10 minutes after the 6:15 a.m. takeoff. With only 52 anglers competing after the two-day cut, the fish catches won't come in as rapidly as they have the previous two days. But if the pattern continues, it will be constant catches, all day long, until the 3:15 check-in time.

The anglers launched this morning under clear skies and a near-historic low temperature for this date, 54 degrees. The high is predicted to be 80 degrees at 3 p.m. Normal is 93 degrees. The all-important wind forecast is 7 to 12 mph out of the west/southwest.
