Finally, Mike Iaconelli has a couple of decent fish in the livewell. The first one came at 9:30, after he moved further back into Seibold Creek, near where all the sailboats are moored. This one weighed about 4 1/2 pounds. The second one came 20 minutes later and weighed 3 1/4. Both came on a Carolina rig.
Iaconelli might be getting nervous if he knew how many fish were being caught on Guntersville this morning by his competitors. But yesterday's experience has probably taken the panic out of him. He caught only nine keepers all day, but as they say in this game, they were the right ones.
"I know I'm in the right area to win this tournament," Iaconelli said Friday.
The problem with that is the fact that Skeet Reese is in the same area, and BASSTrakk shows him with 20 pounds this morning.
