How Evers is fishing

We've watched Edwin Evers for several days now on Kentucky Lake, and Steve Bowman spent time in the boat with him yesterday. So we've developed some assumptions on how he's catching bass. Be sure to pay attention to the word "assumptions" because there's a little guesswork involved here.

He's throwing a big swimbait deep. Slow crawling it off little drops. We've seen him get hung up fairly often. Then he'll switch up occasionally to a 6-inch spoon and a white hair jig, made by a friend from a deer killed on Ever's farm. And if the bass get fired up he'll start using a deep diving crankbait. He's fishing in 10 to 15 feet of water.

Whether he wins the tournament or not, Evers knows how to catch fish on Kentucky Lake.
