During last night's anglers meeting, Skeet Reese predicted this tournament would be won in the first couple of hours each day. The early bite seemed to be the best during practice. As fast as fish were being caught in the early hours this morning, that prediction appeared to be on the money. And it still may prove to be correct.
However, there hasn't been much of a slowdown as we get closer to noon. Brandon Lester caught a 4-6 at 10:15 that puts him near the magic 25-pound mark for the day. Timmy Horton caught a 4 1/2-pounder at 10:30 to put him over 20 pounds. And Brent Ehrler has had a mid-morning flurry that has quickly put him over the 18-pounds mark.
