The first few hours of fishing on Barkley today were bright and sunny. We've had cloud cover for the past hour, and that appears to be hurting Randy Howell's bite. He said as much a few minutes ago. Indeed Howell hasn't had a bite in the last hour. He's still fishing the same area near Kutawa. The good news for some anglers is there's a little more current on Barkley than we've seen on Kentucky Lake. Barkley Dam is pulling 16,000 cubic feet of water per second.
