In years past, this morning would have more of a hectic quality to it. Extreme cold weather has a way of dampening the mood. That actually could be a good thing. In Classics past, there were plenty of spectators. Regardless of how gracious these guys are, spectators do have an impact on how these guys are able to work.
They've prepared for the cold, now some of them are hoping for a day where they can get some work done.
