Evers making a run for second-place money

Justin Lucas needs to keep an eye on Edwin Evers if he wants to stay in second place in the AOY standings for the 2015 season. And, if you look at the BASSTrakk map, Lucas might be able to do just that. Both anglers are in the Egg Harbor area.

The problem for Lucas is that Evers is catching ’em there, and he isn’t. BASSTrakk shows Evers with a limiy weighing 14-2, which has him in 9th place for the tournament. Lucas doesn’t have a keeper, which has dropped him into 40th place. If that’s where they finished today, Lucas would still hold on to second place with 659 points for the year. But Evers would be only three points behind him.

Obviously, BASSTrakk is far from official and there’s almost half-a-day left to fish. But whether he knows it or not, Lucas is getting some serious competition for the No. 2 AOY spot and the $55,000 check that goes with it.
