Just got the first chance to chat a bit with Jacob Powroznik. He confirmed that he has 4 fish that weigh "about 7 or 8 pounds." He's not thrilled about his day so far, as you would imagine.
"I think the shad deal is dying," he said of that early bite that has been good for him the previous two days. He plans to flip milfoil and sight-fish the rest of the day. He's gone back to the smoky cove, where he's got a big one spotted, and take another shot at catching her. Locals supposedly call this area "Nine-Pound Cove."
"The last couple of days I've been flipping in the afternoon," he said. "It can happen fast, every flip. You've just got to keep moving until you find 'em."
