Randy Howell is back in the area where he's been all week, on the west bank of Lake George where he took the Day 1 lead with 27-1 and weighed another 20 pounds Friday. Photographer James Overstreet and I will be manning this area today.
With 58 less boats in the field today, it will be interesting to see how many others show up. There's only one other boat here now, and it's nowhere near Howell.
Howell noted at yesterday's weigh-in that he may go in search of some new water today. That will probably depend on what he sees on the spawning beds in here today. This place has been picked apart over the last two days, but several anglers noted that more bass seemed to be moving up yesterday.
Howell just put a keeper in the boat.
