Greg Hackney just broke a long dry spell with a fish that is at least "a heavy 3-pounder" and might go 4. It allowed him to cull up at least a pound, maybe more, at 2:45 p.m.
Hackney has been fishing his way back down Mill Creek toward the main lake. Between the two highway bridge, where a new I-40 bridge is under construction, he set the hook and landed a fish that brought a cheer from the few observer boats around him.
James Overstreet thinks Hackney now has between 15 1/4 and 15 1/2 pounds.
