Greg Hackney just put another fish in the box. This one weighed about 2 1/2 pounds. Hackney said at yesterday's weigh-in that he was "chunking and winding." For those of you that don't know, that's Hackney-speak for flipping.
Hackney is one of those guys who likes to keep his knowledge to himself. I'm still trying to get him to tell me how he caught 'em during the Wild Card event at Lake Okeechobee last December. Most of these guys will give up their secrets on Sunday, after the tournament is over. Not Hackney, who just smiled and said, "I'm gonna fish another tournament on this pond one day."
