Christie on a late bite, again

At Saturday’s weigh-in, Jason Christie talked about how important timing was in the area he’s been fishing this week. There’s an early bite, but mostly it’s been a late bite.

“I might as well take a nap in the middle of the day,” Christie said.

He’s been fine-tuning how best to take advantage of the late bite as the tournament progressed. And according to BASSTrakk, Christie appears to be coming on strong late today.

“I’ve been fishing in 4 or 5 feet of water, or less — mostly less,” Christie said. “I think about 75 percent of it has to do with moving water. It may all be based on moving water, and we just don’t realize it.”
