Greg Hackney didn't start on the east bank of Cayuga Lake this morning, like he has all week. He began on the sun-drenched west side, just north of Shelldrake Point. But after 30 minutes without a bite, Hackney moved back to the east bank that has been so good to him the last three days.
It took only 10 minutes for it to produce again today. Hackney just set the hook and boated another one of those 4-pounds-plus bass, like the 4 he had yesterday that totaled 17-11.
