We just caught up with Alton Jones, who reported he has four bass that weigh about 17 pounds.
"I lost a 6-pounder earlier that would have helped," Jones said.
Since then, we've watched Jones lose two more good fish – both appeared to be solid keepers by the bow in his rod, but not huge.
Then we saw Jones land his fifth fish – a 2 1/2-pounder.
"Now we've got one to cull," Jones said.
He thinks the afternoon bite it going to be the ticket today because of the recent full moon. It's something to keep in mind as the day progresses.
