We’ve run back up to Mocassin Gap chasing Steve Kennedy. He has taken the risk and worked his way up to these powerful rapids. He just caught a nonkeeper in the little eddy you see in the photo. As Steve Wright has detailed in previous posts, Kennedy knows these waters well. Today he’s willing to take some risks to compete with leader Brent Chapman.
Shortly after this photo was taken, Kennedy got a running start and shot cleanly through the rocks of Moccasin Gap. He’s now motoring toward Jordan Dam. We’ll find out soon if this gamble will pay off.
