With little if any rain in the forecast through the weekend, that decreasing water level should continue as the outflow from Denison Dam has been a constant 41,900 cubic feet per second this week.
The rise last weekend crested at 626.13 feet above sea level on Monday at 11 p.m. It has been decreasing by up to .03 per hour since. At 5 a.m. today Texoma’s level was 625.22, a decrease of .91 since Monday night’s crest. The lake, however, is still over five feet above its normal pool level of 619, so it’s not like there won’t continue to be an abundance of flooded vegetation to flip.
Of the 108 anglers, 91 caught five-bass limits yesterday. There were 508 bass weighed-in totaling 1,176 pounds, 4 ounces. The average weight of the bass weighed was 2.31 pounds. Day 1 leader Casey Ashley had the big bass of the day, a 6-pound, 15-ounce largemouth.
