Kevin VanDam has continued his southern trend. This time he’s about two miles south of Long Point. VanDam liked what he was seeing at his last stop, but not what he was catching. He caught one more keeper that didn’t help him there, then switched from a jerkbait to a swimbait. VanDam kept mentioning the big fish he was seeing that were following, but not taking, the swimbait. Then he moved.
VanDam has made only a couple of casts at this latest stop. He’s doing more looking than fishing.
