After a fairly unproductive morning, two fish for 3 plus pounds, Gary Klein has departed his sweet spot and moved into Flint Creek. The sun is shining now and the water temperature has warmed to 71.2. Earlier Klein told us warmer water would help his bite. As you can see from the photo, it’s dead calm here. He’s fishing further off shore now. Just moments ago Klein took a big swing. Turned out it was a snag. The veteran angler patted his chest to signal his heart had pounded hard on that one. Steve Bowman, who jumped to photograh what looked like a big fish, told Klein, “My heart nearly came out of my chest.” Klein replied, “Mine did!”
