Howell mixing it up

Since giving up on his initial area of the day, and making a return stop, Randy Howell is now moving up the river channel. He’s fishing a stretch of shoreline that’s much closer to the river channel. Perhaps the reason is his previous comment about the wide, expansive flats being vacant of baitfish activity. There are some here and he’s using a mixed bag of baits to stimulate a reaction bite. A spinnerbait. A pink wacky rigged worm. A swimbait.

What he’s doing is a total about face from the previous two days.

So far nothing is working and he plans another move. Where that will be is unknown, although it’s unlikely it’ll be a return to the flats.
