Hite fishing his way back

Brett Hite apparently sealed the deal with a 3-pound, 5-ounce smallmouth bass just before 11 a.m. That gave him 11-12 today, 21-14 over two days and a 12-pound lead over Keith Combs with 30 minutes remaining.

Hite gave the throat slash sign, signaling he was leaving the North Grand Island Bridge area. He’s slowly making his way back to the Anchor Marine tournament headquarters, checking out a few spots along the way.
