Just like this time yesterday, the fishing is beginning to heat up.
The big surprise is the appearance in the Top 5 of David Fritts, who is fishing this season using Legend status in the Bassmaster Elite Series.
Fritts, winner of the 1993 Bassmaster Classic, yesterday told me he caught more than 25 keepers. That’s in line with lots of anglers catching the plethora of 1- and 2-pounders we’ve been talking about.
