The guy behind the cage is the great-grandson, I think he said that, or just the grandson, of one of the past owners, dude's name is Luke Frederick of the Frederick part of the General Mercantile store. Very friendly nice guy who let me wander around taking photos of anything I wanted but...

...on the way out I had to buy a horseshoe, when would I ever get that chance again, so I paid two-bucks, he wrote, WROTE out the receipt, stamped it and handed it to me in a brown paper bag. Before I left though I took it out of the bag and had Luke autograph it for me, something I will keep a long time. Great little town, wonderful old store, and a horseshoe for luck...welcome to Natchitoches, Louisiana.
