Sweepstakes winner fishes with Randy Howell

Walt Warren of Edenton NC is the winner of the Fish with Randy Howell sweepstakes. Along with prizes from Triton, Lowrance, Gamma Lines, Diawa, Daiichi, Livingston Lures, Bass Pro Shops, Bob’s Machine Shop, Frogg Toggs, Yamamoto Baits, Rod Glove, Bluewater LED, Valley Fashions, Do-it Molds, Eye OJO, and Pelican Coolers, he spent a day fishing with Randy on Lake Guntersville AL.

Walt and Randy met for the first time the morning of the launch and instantly became best buddies.

As an avid bass angler and B.A.S.S. member, Walt entered the sweepstakes daily. He was thrilled when he got the called that he had been randomly selected as our winner.

Randy’s son Laker, also an avid angler, showed up at the launch to post a video on Randy’s Instagram page. Behind them is the famous Lake Guntersville bridge where Randy won the 2014 Bassmaster Classic.

Not many anglers get a chance to sit in the captain’s chair of an Elite Pro Angler. Smiles all around.

The day started out with frog fishing in the lily pads.

Walt showed he could handle a stick like a pro. The day was full of learning and stories.

Lake Guntersville is considered one of the best fisheries in the country. Walt showed us why.

After a full day of fishing, Randy and Walt headed off to the Top O the River restaurant in Guntersville for a hot meal.
