Bobby Lane, Jr. is frustrated. âThey are all clones,â he said as he beams three fish in his live well with the one he just caught. When it was all said and done, back it went to where it came from.

Justin Lucas is on fire, four casts and four keepers. As the weather warms up so does the bite.

That makes four for Palaniuk.

Drew Bentonâs Day 2 has not gone as he planned. This is only his fourth keeper. Drew is an avid hunter. If you canât tell by his pose in front of this herd of deer, the fact that he shot his personal best tom turkey yesterday after fishing Day 1 might clue you in.

After a lengthy spell of smalls and no culling, Caleb Sumrall was getting a little tight then this chunk hit and changed the mood.

Lucas hooked up again. It’s been a flurry for the last 20 minutes. three, four and five in the boat.

Ish Monroe catches a throwback and continues working toward that 5th fish to reach his limit..

Continuing to scratch and claw his way back, Mike Iaconelli adds this nice 3 3/4-pounder. The size is starting to improve and with the sunny day and warming weather it should just get better and better.

Caleb has filled the box with juniors and now plans on spending the rest of the day hunting down biggunsâ.

Slow and cold morning for Brian Snowden but it is brightening up with every glean of sunshine.

Dean Rojas sat down and retied his line a few minutes after getting hung between some rocks. He told me that he failed to do that yesterday and it cost him good fish. He then caught a 4-pounder his very next cast that allowed him to cull out a small keeper. A few more upgrades and he could be back in the hunt to make the cut.

Caleb Sumrall filling the box…then planning on culling all of these out later in the day. He has been going through plenty of dinks but is confident the big ones will start chomping soon.

After a slow start to the morning and a few missed opportunities, Mike Iaconelli hooks up with his third keeper of the day. Although it may not have been a Grand Lake monster, it was a fish that may have clued him into the necessary pattern for the comeback. Never give up!
