When you win the Bassmaster Classic, people notice. Sometimes from unexpected places. The University of Alabama at Birmingham holds an annual event on their campus to celebrate the beginning of basketball season and in addition to other Birmingham-area celebrities they invited Randy Howell to participate.

Randy played a game called “knock out” that involved hitting a shot before your opponent could. Some other Birmingham celebrities include meteorologist James Spann, Mayor of Birmingham William Bell, and a star of the television show Jersey Belle whose name I didn’t catch.
Randy played admirably, but was knocked out 3rd from last.
