A crowd began to form right before the 4 p.m. deadline to register for the Costa Bassmaster High School Open. The deadline had to be extended as inclement weather moved into the area Sunday afternoon.

Lane Lutchworth of Teurlings Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana shows off some cool Costa gear he picked up during registration.

Costa is the title sponsor of this event and brought plenty loot for the crowd to grab.

The line begins to lengthen at the 4 o’clock hour.

More than 600 lunches of barbecue sandwiches, chips, and a brownie were served to hungry anglers and their coaches at Cypress Bend Marina.
