Day on the lake with Cliff Prince

Welcome to Bassmaster Magazine's Day on the Lake! This month, it’s Cliff Prince turn to take on a small lake he’s never seen before; he’ll attempt to catch bass for seven hours while we document his every move.

This month, Bassmaster’s reality series puts Cliff Prince on a small lake he’s never seen before, giving him seven hours to locate and catch bass. The 43-year-old Palatka, Fla., competitor has fished B.A.S.S. events for six years and has qualified for one Classic.

Here’s what happened July 18, 2013, when we put Prince on Lake J, a small reservoir. 6:49 a.m. Prince makes his first casts of the day with a surface popper in the upper end of Lake J.
