Tommy Biffle started the day in 2nd place, while Stetson Blaylock started 4th. The two contenders started Day 2 fishing side by side. Blaylock would strike first.

The wind began to get up a bit late in the morning as a cold front moved across Oklahoma.

... and stopped to fish a rock point. It was on that point he broke the steering cable on his trolling motor.

After talking to tournament officials, Biffle called home and asked his wife Sharon to bring a new trolling motor to the ramp. An obvious advantage to fishing your home lake.

Out with the old, in with the new. Problem was, that trolling motor wouldn’t work either.

Biffle decided to have his wife return home and bring another boat. In the meantime, he made a few casts from the front deck of his boat where it sat against the bank.
