ULM teammates, Brian Eaton and Slade Daniel had no fish on Day 1. After seeing their teammates in good position on Day 1 and knowing they had no realistic shot at the Top 5, Eaton and Daniel gave their boat to Stewart and Joiner so their school would have a shot at the championship.

Unfortunately, Stewart and Joiner fell short and finished 17th but we applaud Eaton and Slade of the selfless act especially considering this was Eaton's final tournament day as a collegiate angler.

Alabama's team put CH where their names are supposed to be in honor of a boy they met at the Bassmaster Classic in 2014. The young man passed away that summer. He had spoken highly of the Alabama Fishing Team and told them how he was going to be on the team one day. Appaluccio, Shaddix and the rest of the team decided they would make his dream come true and have carried him on their shoulders all year.
