Lance Freeman and Chandler Christian caught 19-4 on Day 1 to take a slim lead into Friday's competition day of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Midwestern Regional on Clinton Lake.

On Day 1 they had a limit by 8:30 a.m. and they hoped to duplicate the fast start once again.

After poking around their spot for a couple minutes, Freeman connects with another one right near the boat.

They had a solid four fish for 11 to 12 pounds at 8:30 a.m. and continued to work for the next hour or two.

After no dice for two hours they head out to let it rest and when they returned they caught a couple great fish and boosted their bag to 17-13 for Day 2. They maintained the lead as they head into the final day of competition with a 6-ounce lead.
