A lot is at stake between John Garrett of Bethel University and Evan Coleman of Texas State at the Carhartt Bassmaster College Classic Bracket final weigh-in. Not only does the winner represent the Carhartt College Series at the 2017 Bassmaster Classic, but they also compete in all 9 Opens and get to carry the college flag proudly for the entire series.

Garrett grew up fishing Kentucky Lake and it played in his favor this week as he and teammate Brian Pahl made the Top 4 for the Bracket and he fished with confidence on a lake he knew well.

He was choked up in the moment and couldn't say much about what he was feeling so they talked fishing. He caught his fish this week on a 3/4 ounce wobble head with a Zoom Magnum Trick Worm. He also boated a couple fish on a Rapala DT10 crankbait.

Garrett, who is from Union City, Tennessee is the 2016 College Classic Champion and will represent the Carhartt College Series in the Opens in 2017.
