Classic practice begins on Guntersville

Official practice is underway on Lake Guntersville for the GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by Diet Mountain Dew and GoPro.

This is a gallery of photos from this morning's takeoff. Wednesday is a practice day for the competitors. It was relax morning with lots of laughter and ribbing. Today's temperature at launch was around 60 degrees, much different than the freezing temperatures the anglers faced in the earlier practice days. Because of that many competitors are calling today the most important practice day, because conditions look to be similar on Fri., Sat., and Sun. It was spitting a little bit of rain at launch, with a good chance of rain throughout the day.
