Seventy teams of high school anglers took on Lay Lake for the Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation Championship.

It was a beautiful day on Lay Lake for the Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation High School Classic. Two of the 70 teams will compete next year for the B.A.S.S. High School Championship.

Briana Tucker and Mitchell Gowen of Decatur Heritage won the B.A.S.S. High School Invitational over the summer, and had a strong showing of 3rd place with 13.31.

This will never, ever happen on the Elite Series. Laura Ann Foshee left the tournament to compete in a cheerleading competition (which Gardendale won), and then returned to finish her day on Lay Lake.
