ADVBassStats: Opens EQ angler maps

This map shows where the 2023 St. Croix Bassmaster Opens EQ anglers are from. Texas has the most anglers competing in the EQ’s with 22 total, followed by Alabama with 19 anglers. A total of 175 anglers, 166 from the US, 4 from Japan and 5 from Canada will be competing in the EQs.
This graph shows pins from where each angler’s hometown is. As you can tell a large majority of the field is from the Southeast. Texas, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee all bring double digit angler counts.
With nine different venues scattered across the US, the Opens EQ will challenge anglers and prepare those who qualify for the Bassmaster Elite Series. The season kicks off on Lake Eufaula in Eufaula, Alabama March 2nd. The last tournament of the season will wrap up on October 14th in Florida at the Harris Chain of Lakes. We will then know our nine Elite Qualifiers for 2024.
In the final graph is the combined venue and angler map showing the correlation of each EQ angler’s hometown and venue location. There are 3 divisions of Opens with 3 tournaments in each division. In Division 1 is Lake Eufaula, Alabama, Wheeler Lake and Harris Chain of Lakes. Division 2 is Toledo Bend, Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma and The Lake of the Ozarks. Division 3 is Buggs Island Reservoir, St. Lawrence River and Watts Bar Reservoir. To see the full 2023 St. Croix Bassmaster Open schedule click here. Anglers can compete in just one division, and qualify for the Bassmaster Classic, but to qualify for the Elite Series they will have to fish all nine tournaments.
