The Reel Shot and J.J. Keller Fishing Team are proud to announce Travis Manson as the newest member of their pro staff team. Travis is fishing his rookie season on the Bassmaster Elite Series trail in 2011.
Travis will also be fishing all the Bassmaster Northern Opens, a few Southern Opens and many local tournaments in his home state of Wisconsin. “We’re excited to have an angler like Travis as a part of our Team” states Captain Brian Keller, Owner of The Reel Shot. Travis Manson was born and raised in Winneconne, Wis., and is proud to be the first Elite Series Pro to come from his home state. Travis has been actively involved and passionate about the sport of fishing his entire life — from tournament walleye fishing in Wisconsin, to trout and salmon fishing on the Great Lakes, to bass fishing throughout the country. From 1996-2006 Travis primarily fished walleye tournaments but in 2006 he fished the Bassmaster Elite Series as a co-angler through Mercury Marine and was immediately hooked. It was at this time that Travis ultimately decided to permanently switch from walleye fishing to tournament bass fishing.
Then in 2010 he decided to fish the Bassmaster Northern Opens in order to gain himself more exposure at the higher levels. With an impressive fourth-place finish in overall points, Travis qualified for the 2011 Bassmaster Elite Series trail. “I am looking forward to help build The Reel Shot and J.J.
