FOND DU LAC, Wis. – As Bassmaster Elite Series pro Jacob Powroznik motors out onto the waters of Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees on March 4 for Day 1 of the 2016 Bassmaster Classic, fans of the sport will notice a flashy new blue-and-gray wrap on his boat that shouts Quicksilver Marine Parts & Accessories.
Quicksilver announced today that it will help Powroznik, the 2014 Bassmaster Elite Series Rookie of the Year, power his pursuit of the Classic title and the Elite Series Angler of the Year award as one of “J-Proz’s” primary sponsors. Powroznik will use Quicksilver lubricants and products exclusively in his 2016 Ranger Z520C Comanche, powered by a 250 Mercury OptiMax Pro XS.
“Quicksilver Marine Parts and Accessories is excited to partner with Jacob on the Elite Series trail to enhance our worldwide marketing efforts,” said Eric Reilley, Quicksilver product manager, aftermarket products. “Jacob has an outstanding track record in 12 years of competition at the highest levels of bass fishing in the world. We’re proud to have him represent the Quicksilver brand.”
Powroznik of Port Haywood, Virginia, will depend on Quicksilver oil, fuel-system additives, filters and tools throughout a taxing Elite season that will take him over thousands of miles of waterways from Florida to Texas to New York to Wisconsin.
“Everything I do as a professional angler starts with my ability to get where I need to on the water, and that relies 100 percent on my motor, and the Quicksilver Marine products I put into it,” said Powroznik. “We ask our motors and boats to perform at optimum levels for 12 hours a day, in harsh environments. That requires the best oils, lubricants, fuel additives, filters and products as simple as marine grease. Quicksilver produces the best of all of those, and I’m super excited to partner with them.”
