Plum Grove gets stocked, cleaned up

The West Suburban Bass Anglers cleaned up Plum Grove Reservoir during a fishing derby.

Thirty volunteers with the West Suburban Bass Anglers of Illinois assisted the park district with the Plum Grove Reservoir fishing derby, stocking fish the week before the event and helping with tackle, fish care and trash pickup the day of the derby. The 150-acre lake was stocked with catfish, bluegill and 600 pounds of bass. The club also offered a fishing class to the public the night before the derby.

The project took 270 man-hours.
