Insight Genesis College Cup renewed for 2015

TULSA, Okla.  Lowrance, a world-leading brand in fishing electronics since 1957, announced today the renewal of its Insight Genesis College Cup. In its second year, the 2015 College Cup kicks off Jan. 1 and continues through Dec. 31, 2015.

Anglers registered with Carhartt Bassmaster College Series or FLW College Fishing are eligible for the competition.

Contestants can win monthly prizes  including HDS-12, HDS-9 and HDS-7 Gen2 Touch fishfinder/chartplotter models  simply by capturing and uploading the most acres of sonar recordings to the online Insight Genesis map-creation tool. The Lowrance fishfinder/chartplotter prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place individual monthly winners, respectively. This year’s overall individual winner will be named Lowrance Pro Staff at the 2016 Bassmaster Classic or FLW Cup and receive a free trip to the championship of his choice.

All recordings must be completed with a Lowrance fishfinder/chartplotter. If participants do not have a fishfinder/chartplotter capable of recording sonar logs, Lowrance offers a loaner unit program in which college teams can receive up to three free Lowrance Elite-7 CHIRP chartplotters on loan for the 2015 Insight Genesis College Cup program year. Full details of the loaner unit program can be found on the 2015 Insight Genesis College Cup website at www.collegecup.us.

Registered Insight Genesis College Cup anglers will also receive free premium access to Insight Genesis after uploading 100 acres to the program and be able to see vegetation and bottom hardness layers, as well as gain access to other great premium features.

As in last year’s Cup, competitors who sign up early in December 2014 can get a head start accumulating acreage totals for the 2015 competition, before the Insight Genesis College Cup official starts Jan. 1.

Registration for the 2015 Insight Genesis College Cup is free and open from Dec. 18, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2015. To enter, contestants can visit www.collegecup.us and submit their name, email and school name. Anglers should register with their name and email on file with B.A.S.S. and/or FLW college fishing registration.

Anglers will need to sign up for the 2015 College Cup even if they had registered previously for 2014 College Cup. Winners are announced on Facebook in the week following the end of the monthly or annual contest period, and winners will be notified by email.
