Georgia club spruces up pond

Family fishing pond receives a face-lift from Roswell Bass Club.

Seven members of the Roswell Bass Club spent time cleaning up a highly popular Georgia Department of Natural Resources family fishing pond.

The group painted the fishing pier, benches and tables. They also removed unwanted fish, such as shiners, that adversely affect the fish population.

“The pond receives hundreds of visits from kids annually,” explained Tony Beck of Roswell Bass Club.

More than 17 man-hours were spent on the cleanup project.
