Fans have chance to fish with Skeet

By entering the “Fish With Skeet!” sweepstakes on Bassmaster.com, one fortunate fan will have the chance to learn firsthand Skeet Reese’s passion for the sport.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Bassmaster Elite Series angler Skeet Reese caught his first bass at 8 years old, an experience that set him on a course to be a top bass fishing pro. The California angler is on a winning streak during the 2013 season, already securing a victory in the May 2-5 Elite Series West Point Lake Battle and earning a $100,000 payday, plus a berth in the 2014 Bassmaster Classic.

By entering the “Fish With Skeet!” sweepstakes on Bassmaster.com, one fortunate fan will have the chance to learn firsthand Reese’s passion for the sport.

“This is a terrific opportunity for someone to go out on the water with Skeet, who is a Bassmaster fan favorite,” said Mitch Frank, B.A.S.S Membership Director. “He’s a talented angler and has a 2007 Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year title and a 2009 Bassmaster Classic championship to his credit. Fishing with him will be a great experience.” Reese is currently second in points in the Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year race, a title that he says is the most important award that B.A.S.S. bestows.

The sweepstakes winner receives a free fishing trip on one of Reese’s favorite lakes, plus round-trip airfare within the continental U.S., a two-night hotel stay, a car rental and $500 in cash. Also included is a package of the Bassmaster Elite Series pro’s gear, including $500 in Wright & McGill and TroKar tackle, a $500 Dick’s Sporting Goods gift card and three pairs of polarized glasses from Wiley X. The total prize package is valued at $4,995.

The contest, which can be entered via Bassmaster.com or through mail-in entries, began April 1 and runs through June 12. The winner will be selected on June 30.
