DeFoe hosts Goodwill charity tournament

DANDRIDGE, Tenn. — Bassmaster Elite Series pro Ott DeFoe is hosting the Goodwill Bass Tournament this Saturday, June 8, on Douglas Lake in Dandridge, Tenn., at the Shady Grove Ramp. Proceeds will be donated to Goodwill Industries-Knoxville Inc. to support the organization's mission of providing vocational training and employment opportunities to individuals with barriers to employment.

Competitors will be fishing for a grand prize of $1,200. The payout will be one place for every six boats, based on a field of 40 boats.

The tournament begins at safe light, and weigh-ins will begin at 3 p.m. ET. Registration costs $100 per boat until June 7 at 4:30 p.m. On-site registration is available for $125 per boat. Departure times are determined by order of registration.

Sponsors for this tournament include Ott DeFoe, B.A.I.T., Bass Pro Shops, the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, Pro Fishing Management, Onyx, Swiftwick, WIVK and WVLT.
