San Clemente, Calif. – In an effort to remember Aaron Martens, a friend and legendary professional angler and celebrate his life, WON Bass Tournament Director Bill Egan has organized the Hogsnatcher Benefit Event at Lake Casitas on Dec. 18, 2021, from noon until 6 p.m.
The Dec. 18 event will be held at the Lake Casitas Recreation Area located at 11311 Santa Ana Rd, Ventura, CA 93001.
There will be FREE parking available across the street from the event area. All are welcome to join in on the fun and festivities planned. There will be Live music featuring the Samantha Cary band from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Food will be available for purchase. Bring your lawn chair, blanket and beverage packed cooler and spend the day with the family and friends of Aaron Martens.
If you cannot attend the Dec. 18 Celebration of Life gathering being held at Lake Casitas, donations of any size or denomination are welcome through the GoFundMe page, https://www.gofundme.com/f/hog-snatcher-benefit-aaron-martens.
The #hogsnatcherbenefit fundraiser GoFundMe will be active until March 11, 2022. A portion of the donations will be used for expenses at the event, 100-percent of the funds remaining will go to the Martens family. To date, $13,000 of the $15,000 in expenses has been covered by sponsors and friends meaning the vast majority of the funds raised through our GoFundMe campaign is to be given directly to the Martens family. The campaign has raised over $14,000 of the $20,000 goal thus far.
We will also be offering opportunities for items that have been donated by sponsors to help raise additional funds. A $100 donation includes one opportunity to win prizes, and an additional donation of $100 will earn five additional opportunities to win swag. A large portion of the items will be given away on site at the December 18 event, but the Hogsnatcher group page on Facebook has ALBUMS listed with additional items and guide trip opportunities to bid on, as well as the single largest “Jersey Drive” ever conducted. Over 150 National touring pros are sending and or have already sent in autographed jerseys that we will be auctioning off as well. The Jersey Drive will have its own website at HogSnatcherBenefit.com soon for all to participate in this awesome endeavor.
